  1. 8 Wired Brewing Co. iStout New Zealand Ale

8 Wired Brewing Co. iStout New Zealand Ale

Beware, this is a BIG beer. Brimming with luscious roasted coffee and chocolate malt flavours which are balanced by a brisk bitterness and bold freshness from the hops. If you’re feeling politically incorrect try it with your favourite cigar, or a dram of your best single malt whisky. Or, if your tooth is sweeter, why not jump in at the deep end with the most decadent dessert of all; half a bottle in a glass with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top (beer geeks like us know it as the Imperial Stout Float). Or simply enjoy it on its own as a decadent dessert or night cap - the perfect winter warmer! If you don’t already know the history of Russian Imperial Stouts please check it out on the internet, it’s a good story. But remember, although based on that century-old classic style, this beer is a very modern interpretation, like all our beers! Learn More

  2. Aecht Schlenkerla Fastenbier

    Aecht Schlenkerla Fastenbier

The Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer is an unfiltered smokebeer, brewed according to the Bavarian Purity Law of 1516. Bottom-fermenting yeast gives the reddish brown lentbeer a natural cloudiness. Its smokey aroma is already noticeable in the smell, combined with a fine hoppy note. In the drink the fullbodied, highly drinkable lentbeer shows its strong malty flavour, rounded up with the smokey taste and a light bitterness. Due to the nourishing yeast, the Original Schlenkerla Lentbeer has the "Brotzeit already included" (German word for afternoon snack). Learn More

  3. Amager & Cellarmaker The Dank Dane Rye & Wheat IPA

Amager & Cellarmaker The Dank Dane Rye & Wheat IPA

Dank as a Dane is said to be local slang for the exceptionally sweaty and smelly young Danish backpackers that you will see touring the Bay Area - and San Francisco in particular. Riding a BART, chasing street cars, gasping their way up hilly boulevards, insisting to jog the Golden Gate or climbing prison islands. You know the drill… However, modern day hipster backpackers are also said to be fond of their hoppy beers which is why they may theoretically end up with a very exhausted look on their faces while enjoying a huge glass of quenching IPA at San Francisco’s by far coolest, new brewpub, Cellarmaker. This spring we had the pleasure of a brewing visit from Tim Sciascia and Connor Casey of Cellarmaker fame. The collaboration beer we brewed we tried to keep in the tradition that has gained Cellarmaker a reputation for being one of California’s finest new breweries: lots of hops yes, but subtle, delicate, balanced and highly drinkable. We hope that you’ll find "The Dank Dane" to be exactly that. Learn More

  4. Amager & Jester King Danish Metal Imperial Stout

Amager & Jester King Danish Metal Imperial Stout

It was a true Texan invasion when Jester King came to Amager. We honestly lost count but we believe at least 8 or 9 of these cowboys came riding in - dragging their suitcase rollers along. And we didn’t put up much of a fight since it was the day after the Copenhagen Beer Celebration party. Morten fell asleep in the malt room and Jacob pretty much fell asleep leaning against the mash tun while mashing in. René? Well, we never saw René that day. Oh yes, we were beat. Dead meat we were. Crooked Stave came by, so did The Kernel and Off Color Brewing - or was it somebody else? Sorry, we totally lost track. But Manker was here….we think. But a beer was indeed brewed in this massive state of being wasted, and a bit of a beast it is. We took the original version of Jester King’s Black Metal - the one with a British ale yeast - and gave it a bit of a Danish spin. Hence Danish Metal was born. It’s rich and potent and powerful - just like a Texas steak. Or something. But we’re babbling. We’ll shut up now. Sorry. Learn More

  5. Amager/Cigar City Xiquic

    Amager/Cigar City Xiquic

Who Xiquic was, is a bit hard to explain - but we all know the hero twins: Wayne Wambles and Jacob Storm - headbrewers of Cigar City Brewing in Tampa, FL and Amager Bryghus, Denmark respectively. Since his first visit at Amager back in 2011 Wayne has been quite the idol for us. We don’t believe it’s possible to find anyone with a bigger heart in brewing - combined with the utmost passion and sense for detail. Therefore it was a great honor to us that Wayne accepted our invitation to come brew at Amager Bryghus - even on his birthday! A recipe was created from what seemed like an endless stream of emails. The Cigar City signature cedar wood was ordered and a birthday cake was baked. We had a fun day - we hope you’ll have fun enjoying this double mash cedar infused black pepper Imperial Stout, yeah, no kiddin’. It’s a bit of a beast - but a gentle one. Learn More

  10. Brasserie Fantome Dark Forest Ghost Saison Farmhouse Ale

Brasserie Fantome Dark Forest Ghost Saison Farmhouse Ale

Once described as a Belgian Irish-style stout, Black Ghost has undergone lots of changes over the years. It now bears no resemblance whatsoever to a stout, and brewer Dany Prignon has begun adding spices to the beer. What they are is anybody’s guess . . . . the Fantôme confounds once again. Learn More
