  7. Bernard Gaucher Reserve Brut

    Bernard Gaucher Reserve Brut

The Gaucher vineyards are located in Arconville, a small village in the south of the Champagne region, a few miles from Epernay, in a countryside with small hills. This is a true Estate Grower Champagne, with several generations of winemaking in the tradition of the appellation. A beautiful blend of 90% Pinot Noir and 10% Chardonnay is used in this cute, which blends the '10 and '11 harvest and keep the wine 2 years on lees. Matured in oak casks with weekly batonnage and partial malolactic fermentation, the Champagne was then allowed to rest for 6 months after disgorgement in '14 to perfect maturity. Dosage of 10g per liter is added to each vintage. This wine is delicate and quite elegant. This reserve Champagne brings rich round flavors, making it vibrant, fresh and generous. The Brut Reserve affirms its personality and seduction; the texture is full and generous and integrates characteristics of maturity associated with fruitier and more refreshing notes. It has a fresh finesse, along with structure, richness and length. It is a full, complex Champagne that is both modern and powerful, while remaining a great classic. Learn More
