  1. Franz Etz Gruner Veltliner 2015

    Franz Etz Gruner Veltliner 2015

LA Times Wine of the Week May 21st, 2016: You can detect more warmth in fruit from the Kamptal, a warm river valley within the Niederosterreich, and this wine is a bit more forward as a result, with scents of melon and parsley. The flavors fall more toward apples and pear; there’s a pleasant mineral grip to this one that seems to close the wine like the cut of a razor. Learn More

  2. Hutter Pinot Gris Smaragd 2012

    Hutter Pinot Gris Smaragd 2012

91 points Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Grauer Burgunder Smaragd Mauterner Silberbichl comes from the right bank of the Danube river. The wine opens stunningly clear and precise, with the typical aromas of Pinot Gris. Full-bodied, elegant and mineral on the palate, this is as excellent Smaragd with food, richer fishes and meat, especially when matured. There is great tension and definition in the finish, concentrated fruit flavors in the aftertaste and it is very salty. Remarkably good and for sure the best wine of the 2014 sextet I have tasted from this family domaine in Mautern. Learn More
