  1. Domaine Ostertag Riesling Muenchberg, Alsace Grand Cru 2013

Domaine Ostertag Riesling Muenchberg, Alsace Grand Cru 2013

95 points Wine Advocate - From 30- to 75-year-old vines on red sandstone and volcanic sediments, Ostertag's 2013 Riesling Grand Cru Muenchberg shows a clear, very precise and deep, multi-layered bouquet with flinty flavors intertwined with tropical aromas; it is absolutely fascinating in its ripeness and intensity. Very deep, rich and fleshy on the palate, with the dense and juicy texture of ripe Riesling mingled with the precisely mineral taste of pure stones and rocks, this is a firm, very complex, highly elegant and persistent Riesling, still fairly stringent in its mouth-watering and salty finish, but with an aging potential of 20+ years. 2. Dr. F. Weins-Prum Estate Riesling, Mosel 2015

    Dr. F. Weins-Prum Estate Riesling, Mosel 2015

Dr. F. Weins-Prüm is the smallest estate in our portfolio, but the wines are anything but small. In fact the Wehlener and Graacher Rieslings from the estate rival those of his neighbor, Joh. Jos. Prüm. They are more subtle, much like the person producing them, the very reserved Bert Selbach. Mr. Selbach is a former banker, who took charge of the estate on 7/1/1978. His wines have amazing aging potential and every bottle is truly “hand-made”. Producing a miniscule 3,000 cases annually, the majority of wines are sourced from the following vineyards: Wehlener Sonnenuhr – slate based, compact and stony: the Graacher Himmelreich also slate but deeper soils (great water maintenance) and the Graacher Domprobst which forms the transition from the Himmelreich to the Sonnenuhr. The estate also owns a small part of the great Erdener Prälat which often produces the” wine of the vintage” at the estate. Learn More

  3. Freiherr Langwerth von Simmern Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Spatlese Blue Cap 2011

Freiherr Langwerth von Simmern Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Spatlese Blue Cap 2011

Due to surprisingly warm weather at the beginning of spring, the 2011 growing season started quite early, with bud-break in mid-April. Warm summer rains caused concern over rot, but beautiful weather arrived in September, bringing good ripeness and a relatively stress-free harvest. The vintage produced complex wines with full fruit flavors balanced by elegant acidity. Learn More

  5. Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese 2015

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Spatlese 2015

94 points Vinous - "Ripe honeydew melon mingles with contrasting crunchy apple and bracing fresh lime. These are joined by quince on a glossy, subtly creamy, pure-fruited palate. Hints of almond cream paste and vanilla cream create a lightly confectionary impression that somehow harmonizes with the wine's vivacious fresh-fruit aspects. There is a lovely sense of lift throughout this performance (perhaps unsurprisingly given a mere 7.5 percent alcohol), but the sense of sweetness comes off as ideally supportive of the wine's lavish abundance of fruit, without seeming at all extraneous. The lusciously sustained finish is suffused with saliva-liberating salinity and transparent to a shimmering impression of crystalline stony impingements. There's an amazing lot going on here!" 6. Fritz Haag Brauneberger Riesling Kabinett 2015

Fritz Haag Brauneberger Riesling Kabinett 2015

91 points Wine Advocate - The 2015 Brauneberger Riesling Kabinett is still pretty reductive, but round, fresh and fruity, with a stimulating piquancy and salinity. A classic Mosel Kabinett with 8.5% alcohol and just the perfect amount of fruit sweetness. Learn More

Marcus Molitor Riesling Auslese*** Graacher Himmelreich Goldkapsel 2013

Not as steep in all sections as the Domprobst site, but to some extent with even richer slate soils, the site produces very racy, crisp Riesling grapes with firm body and particularly good for dry or off-dry wines. Learn More
