  1. Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Roussanne VV Blanc 2014

Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape Roussanne VV Blanc 2014

96 points Wine Spectator - Description: This is on the bold side of the ledger, with a nearly exotic display of creamed peach, mango and papaya flavors, lined with just enough light citrus and floral notes to stay honest. Piecrust and orange sabayon details line the finish. Drink now through 2024. 500 cases made.

95 points Wine Advocate - A big step up over the classic cuvee (which isn’t always a given), the 2014 Châteauneuf du Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is 100% Roussanne from ancient vines, some of which are over 100 years in age. A deeper, richer version of the traditional cuvee, it reveals a medium-gold color to go with sensational notes of white currants, quince, brioche, honeysuckle and lemon curd. Full-bodied, beautifully concentrated and rich, yet with plenty of acidity, drink this elegant, balanced beauty anytime over the coming 2-3 decades. Learn More

  2. Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rousanne VV 2012

    Beaucastel Chateauneuf-du-Pape Rousanne VV 2012

97 points Wine Advocate - Even more impressive and coming from a single parcel of vines planted in 1909, the 2012 Chateauneuf du Pape Roussanne Vieilles Vignes is an off-the-hook effort and certainly the greatest white produced in the Southern Rhone. Offering up exuberant and perfumed notes of marmalade, buttered citrus, orange rind and lavender, this full-bodied voluptuously textured white has knockout richness that’s balanced by gorgeous purity and freshness. Always showing brilliantly in their youth, this cuvee can shut down and be hard to judge when (or if) it will come back around. Per the Perrin family, every vintage goes through this stage and re-emerges at some point. You can drink them in their exuberant youth (which is my recommendation), or cellar them and hope for the best. Drink now-2018+

95 points Wine Spectator - Gorgeous, with lush mango, creamed pineapple and Cavaillon melon fruit flavors that glide along, featuring a light fresh butter edge that holds sway on the finish. Despite the alluring, tropical profile, the lovely backdrop of verbena and wet stone should blossom with cellaring. Roussanne. Best from 2015 through 2025. 500 cases made. Learn More

  3. Chateau Pesquie Ventoux Quintessence Blanc, Rhone 2013

Chateau Pesquie Ventoux Quintessence Blanc, Rhone 2013

91 Points Wine Advocate - "Easily one of my favorite whites from this up and coming region, Pesquie’s 2013 Ventoux Quintessence Blanc knocks it out of the park with its gorgeous apple, pear, brioche and lemon curd-scented bouquet. Medium-bodied, fresh and pure, with good richness and length, it’s a rock star bottle to buy by the case." Learn More

Domaine du Vieux Lazaret Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2015

  5. Guigal Cotes Du Rhone White Rhone Wine 2015

Guigal Cotes Du Rhone White Rhone Wine 2015

91 points Wine Advocate - Another terrific white is the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Blanc, a cuvée that continues to over-deliver in just about every vintage. Tasting like a top-flight Condrieu with its tangerine, honey and floral aromas and flavors, it’s pure, elegant and impeccably balanced on the palate. Learn More

  6. Guigal Ermitage Ex Voto Blanc 2007

Guigal Ermitage Ex Voto Blanc 2007

96 points Wine Advocate - Drinking beautifully, the 2007 Hermitage Ex Voto Blanc shows a forward, full-bodied, rounded style as well as a classic perfume of quince, caramelized stone fruits and crushed rocks. Like always, it was aged in 100% new French oak for 30 months, yet at this point, there’s not a trace of oak to be found. Still fresh and lively, with a healthy light gold color, it’s ideal for drinking over the coming 15+ years. Learn More

  7. Jean-Louis Chave Selection Saint-Joseph Circa, Rhone 2014

    Jean-Louis Chave Selection Saint-Joseph Circa, Rhone 2014

91 points Vinous - "Light yellow. Vibrant citrus and orchard fruits on the intensely perfumed nose. Shows very good clarity and lift to its juicy orange and fresh fig flavors, with a hint of pear skin adding a bitter touch. Finishes with building spiciness and minerality, leaving a trace of succulent herbs behind." --Josh Raynolds Learn More
