  1. Bodega Norton Privada Red, Lujan de Cuyo 2014

Bodega Norton Privada Red, Lujan de Cuyo 2014

93 points James Suckling - Bright medium ruby. Highly complex scents of blackberry, blueberry, violet, Tellicherry pepper, resiny herbs, menthol and sexy oak. Dense, savory and bright, offering terrific saline energy to its redcurrant, spice and pepper flavors. Distinctly less black in the mouth than on the nose and showing excellent lift. This wonderfully spicy, savory, fine-grained wine finishes with refined, perfectly buffered tannins and terrific mounting saline persistence. A very sophisticated blend that’s about much more than merely fruit. Learn More

  4. Bodegas Esmeralda Tilia Malbec - Syrah, Mendoza 2015

Bodegas Esmeralda Tilia Malbec - Syrah, Mendoza 2015

90 points Wine Advocate - (12/30/2016) "The 2015 Malbec Syrah is quite smoky and has notes of cured meat and violets. There's almost 40% Syrah in the blend, and it seems like it has contributed quite strongly to the aromatics of the wine. I looked it up and I had written something very similar last year, which says something about the consistency of the winemaking. Juicy, soft and polished, very drinkable, which seems to be the signature of the Tilia wines. Impressive!" Learn More

  5. Bodegas Esmeralda Tilia Malbec 2014

    Bodegas Esmeralda Tilia Malbec 2014

90 points Wine Advocate - "The grapes of the 2014 Malbec were harvested very early and 70% of them fermented using carbonic maceration. The freshness is so impressive that I had to look at the alcohol level, which is half a degree lower than in the fresher 2013 vintage! There are some herbal aromas (think raspberry leaf), bright cherries and flowers, even lilies. The palate is very tasty, with some subtle bitter flavors, fine tannins and very good acidity. This is a triumph over the vintage. Bravo! This should be readily available, as they produced 500,000 bottles of it. And it's one of the best values in Argentina too!" Learn More

  6. Bodegas Tapiz Cabernet Sauvignon Alta Collection 2014

Bodegas Tapiz Cabernet Sauvignon Alta Collection 2014

96 points James SucklingA wine with lots of depth and fruit now with dark berry and dark chocolate character. Full body, velvety tannins and a long and flavorful finish. So much here. Give it four to five years bottle age. Great wine.

90 points Wine Avocate The 2014 Alta Collection Cabernet Sauvignon was very fresh and subtle, with perfectly integrated oak, I'd say a European profile gravitating towards elegance and finesse. Very good for what it is. – Luis Gutiérrez Learn More

  8. Catena Zapata 'Catena Alta' Malbec, Mendoza 2013

Catena Zapata 'Catena Alta' Malbec, Mendoza 2013

94 points James Suckling - A rich and opulent red with exuberant fruit of blackberry and blueberry. Full body, fine tannins. Racy. Drink now..May/2016

94 points Wine Advocate - I had two vintages to taste of a blend from their best vineyards, Angelica (Lunlunta), La Piramide (Agrelo), Nicasia (Altamira) and Adrianna (Gualtallary), one of them the 2013 Catena Alta Malbec, from a cool vintage that produced very balanced and fresh wines. There is contained ripeness and subtle aromas, harmonious, with unnoticeable oak aromas. The palate is medium-bodied, with soft, polished tannins and great acidity. Some 60,000 bottles produced. 9. Catena Zapata 'Catena' Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza 2015

Catena Zapata 'Catena' Cabernet Sauvignon, Mendoza 2015

90 points Wine Advocate - The sharp and vertical 2015 Catena Cabernet Sauvignon is fresher and has more focus than the 2014, with great focus, clean and delineated. The palate is also very vertical, with gobsmacking balance and refined tannins. It has a very tasty finish. Superb. Some 220,000 bottles were produced. Learn More

  10. Catena Zapata 'Catena' Malbec, Mendoza 2015

Catena Zapata 'Catena' Malbec, Mendoza 2015

92 points James Suckling Aromas of blackberry and walnut with hints of flowers. Medium body, focused and bright with dried fruit and just a hint of mushroom in the aftertaste. Drink now.

91 points Wine Advocate - The impressive 2015 Catena Malbec is subtle, balanced and elegant. It mixes fruit from many different zones, with the grapes from the higher part of Valle de Uco fermented with full clusters, the medium part (Vista Flores, lower La Consulta) destemmed and put together with the full clusters from the higher altitude vineyards and the lower parts totally destemmed and in stainless steel. This is a complex blend that showcases the typicity of Malbec in the province of Mendoza with perfumed notes of violets and black cherries, and a touch of spices. The palate has great balance, elegance and subtleness with very fine tannins. Great value for money. The production figures are truly impressive as this is in the ballpark of one million bottles per year. Learn More
