  3. Menade 'Nosso' Verdejo Natural, Rueda 2015

Menade 'Nosso' Verdejo Natural, Rueda 2015

Nosso, “no so2,” started as an experiment that has turned out to be enormously successful. It starts as 60 year-old vines planted on chalk soils covered with a layer of gravel which are harvested by hand in the middle of the night to prevent oxidation, a crucial step if you are planning to make wines without sulfur. Next the grapes are sorted, destemmed and pressed into tanks where the wine ferments entirely by indigenous yeasts, protected under a layer of CO2. Malo is not blocked and the wine aged on its lees for 6 months before bottling. 5. Txomin Etxaniz Txakoli, Getariako Txakolina 2015

Txomin Etxaniz Txakoli, Getariako Txakolina 2015

Consistently delicious with a classic spritzy charachter (amplified when poured from high into the glass as it;s done in the Basque Country) refreshing lemon lime flavors and ample, thirst quenching acidity on the finish, it is ideal for a nice sunny day. Or, as an aperitif wine to start the evening off with a bang, or paired with fresh oyster and other crustaceans. Year in and year out, it is one of our favorite and bes-selling Spanish whit wines.
