  1. Against the Grain Brewery 'London Balling' Amburana Wood, English Barley Wine aged with Amburana wood

Against the Grain Brewery 'London Balling' Amburana Wood, English Barley Wine aged with Amburana wood

Pours a smooth, translucent copper with a thin layer of head. No lacing or retention, very modest legs when swirled. Smells a bit spiced on the nose from the amburana wood, but with additional vanilla and cherry accents, along with subtle herbal notes. The English hop varietals are still on full display here, and we have more barrel character in this release than the standard edition of London Balling, thanks to the uncommon barrel imparting some unfamiliar flavors, hints of cinnamon, plum, and potpourri. Moderately thin body and a dry finish with some botanical bitterness. Learn More

  3. Against The Grain Brewery Citra Ass Down Double India Pale Ale

Against The Grain Brewery Citra Ass Down Double India Pale Ale

This is a very hop forward American style IPA. Brewed with Pale, Vienna, Munich and wheat malt for a solid base for all American hops, focusing mainly on the variety "Citra." Citra hops are a relatively new variety introduced in 2008. It was bred as a hybrid of a number of different hops, including Hallertauer Mittelfrüh, U.S. Tettnanger, East Kent Golding, Bavarian, Brewers Gold, and other unknown hops. The resulting hop, Citra, has a distinct citrusy and tropical fruit flavor and aroma. In Citra ass down we used American Columbus for bittering and 11# of Citra at the end of the boil for late kettle addition flavor and aroma. Then added 6 more pounds Citra and 5# Centennial post fermention for aroma. Rebrewed for tasting pleasure! Learn More

Old Numbskull showcases malt sweetness, intense American hops, and an aggressive bitterness. Extremely well-balanced, the full-bodied mouthfeel and assertive hop profile leads into a deceptively smooth finish. Old Numbskull can be enjoyed now or laid down for years to come. Learn More
