32 Winds Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley 2010
90 points Wine Specator - Our 2010 Cabernet is made from a historic single vineyard atop Diamond Mountain in northern Napa Valley. The higher elevation of this vineyard results in less cool fog coming in from San Pablo Bay and more direct exposure to sunlight. The vineyard is over 30 years old and consequently does not produce a high volume of fruit; instead the lower yielding vines produce much more concentrated, powerful intense fruit, exactly what you need for a great cabernet.
The grapes were hand-harvested in the middle of October, de-stemmed and transferred to closed-top fermenters, where the skins and juice remained in contact for an extended maceration. The juice was then pressed off and moved directly to Taransaud French oak barrels, 75% of which were new, and aged for 21 months. Learn More$64.98 -

A to Z Wineworks Oregon Pinot Noir, Oregon 2014
Quite possibly this has the largest production of any single Oregon Pinot Noir, which makes the quality even more impressive. A bit in the vein of a Beaujolais, this offers Gamay-like flavors of red berry and wild cherry. It's broadly fruity and forward on the palate, with zippy acidity that punches through the finish. 93 points Vinous- (all Chouilly fruit; L907): Vivid yellow. Complex, mineral-accented bouquet evokes fresh citrus fruits, pear skin, honeysuckle and iodine, plus a hint of candied ginger. Racy and pure, offering powerful citrus pith and mineral flavors and deeper notes of nectarine and fig in the mid-palate. Finishes incisive and spicy, with excellent energy and lingering mineral and smoke notes. Learn More$84.98 -
A.R. Lenoble Cuvee Les Aventures Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs, Champagne
91 points Vinous - Light yellow. Fresh pear and honeysuckle aromas are complemented by ginger, honey and toasty lees. Dry and precise, offering energetic orchard and citrus fruit flavors and a hint of anise that gains strength with air. Finishes toasty and long, with resonating spiciness and a suave floral quality. I also tried a bottling of this wine with a second lot number (L13 276 10 10 11) and found it of similar quality but somewhat more taut, showing a greater emphasis on bitter citrus pith and a hint of white pepper.
