  1. 32 Winds Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley 2010

32 Winds Cabernet Sauvignon Diamond Mountain, Napa Valley 2010

90 points Wine Specator - Our 2010 Cabernet is made from a historic single vineyard atop Diamond Mountain in northern Napa Valley. The higher elevation of this vineyard results in less cool fog coming in from San Pablo Bay and more direct exposure to sunlight. The vineyard is over 30 years old and consequently does not produce a high volume of fruit; instead the lower yielding vines produce much more concentrated, powerful intense fruit, exactly what you need for a great cabernet.

The grapes were hand-harvested in the middle of October, de-stemmed and transferred to closed-top fermenters, where the skins and juice remained in contact for an extended maceration. The juice was then pressed off and moved directly to Taransaud French oak barrels, 75% of which were new, and aged for 21 months. Learn More

  2. 32 Winds Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard, Carneros 2010

32 Winds Chardonnay Hudson Vineyard, Carneros 2010

92 points Wine Advocate - The proximity to the fog and breezes from the bay makes the climate in Los Carneros cooler than surrounding areas, the perfect environment in which to grow chardonnay. The vineyard has rocky well-drained soils that are planted to the shy-bearing heritage shot Wente clone.

The grapes were hand harvested and whole-cluster pressed into French oak barrels, approximately 40% of which were new. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occurred naturally in the barrel, and the resultant wine was bottled unfined and unfiltered in order to handle it as minimally as possible. Learn More

  3. 32 Winds Maestro Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley 2010

32 Winds Maestro Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley 2010

With manual daily punch-downs the grapes went through alcoholic and malolactic fermentation using native yeasts. The wine was aged in French oak barrels, 40% of which were new, for 11 months. Learn More

  5. Aaron Wines Trespasser, Paso Robles 2013

Aaron Wines Trespasser, Paso Robles 2013

91 Points Robert Parker - Lastly, the 2013 Trespasser checks in as a mix of 62% Petite Sirah, 18% Mourvedre and the rest Syrah and Grenache. Like all of the cuvees here, it comes from a mix of five vineyards spread between Willow Creek, Adelaida and Templeton Gap. Aged 22 months in 50% new French oak, its deep ruby/purple color is followed by a complex array of bay leaf, mint, ripe red plums and currants. Full-bodied, silky and elegant, with impeccable balance and sweet tannin, drink this pretty, lively 2013 over the coming 8-9 years as well. Learn More

  8. Alpha Omega 'ERA' Red, Napa Valley 2013

Alpha Omega 'ERA' Red, Napa Valley 2013

98 points Wine Advocate - Alpha Omega's flagship wine, the 2012 Proprietary Red Blend ERA, fashioned from 94% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot, flirts with perfection. Its inky/purple color is followed by notes of incense, camphor, melted licorice, blackberry and cassis fruit. Super-concentrated with no hard edges, this is a seamless, complex, compelling Cabernet Sauvignon-dominated wine with exquisite ripeness, purity and texture. It should drink well for 15-20 years.

Swiss-born Jean Hoefliger had plenty of experience in Bordeaux and working with Michel Rolland at Newton Vineyards before taking over the reins at Alpha Omega. He has hit pay-dirt with the 2012s, the finest vintage I have tasted from this ambitious winery located on Route 29, south of St. Helena. They have some great vineyard sources for their Cabernet Sauvignon, particularly the range of Beckstoffer-owned, first-growth quality sites spread throughout Napa. Learn More

  9. Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

    Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon 2012

90 points Vinous - "Alpha Omega's 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is very pretty. Dark, layered and beautifully balanced, the 2011 possesses wonderful depth and also plenty of early approachability. Smoke, plum, black cherry and tobacco notes linger on the expressive, generous finish." Learn More

  10. Alpha Omega II Chardonnay Napa Valley 2013

Alpha Omega II Chardonnay Napa Valley 2013

This Chardonnay was naturally fermented, unfined and unfiltered. It is a blend of six different clones of Chardonnay (76, 95, Wente, Hyde, Rued, and Robert Young) that each bring their own characteristics to this multifaceted wine. Despite its long aging process in 45% new French Oak, the wine reaches a great balance due to a lot of stirring, which gives it a California Meursault feel. This wine brings elegance and finesse into a great traditional California Chardonnay. Learn More
