  1. Dr. F. Weins-Prum Estate Riesling, Mosel 2015

    Dr. F. Weins-Prum Estate Riesling, Mosel 2015

Dr. F. Weins-Prüm is the smallest estate in our portfolio, but the wines are anything but small. In fact the Wehlener and Graacher Rieslings from the estate rival those of his neighbor, Joh. Jos. Prüm. They are more subtle, much like the person producing them, the very reserved Bert Selbach. Mr. Selbach is a former banker, who took charge of the estate on 7/1/1978. His wines have amazing aging potential and every bottle is truly “hand-made”. Producing a miniscule 3,000 cases annually, the majority of wines are sourced from the following vineyards: Wehlener Sonnenuhr – slate based, compact and stony: the Graacher Himmelreich also slate but deeper soils (great water maintenance) and the Graacher Domprobst which forms the transition from the Himmelreich to the Sonnenuhr. The estate also owns a small part of the great Erdener Prälat which often produces the” wine of the vintage” at the estate. Learn More

  2. Freiherr Langwerth von Simmern Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Spatlese Blue Cap 2011

Freiherr Langwerth von Simmern Hattenheimer Mannberg Riesling Spatlese Blue Cap 2011

Due to surprisingly warm weather at the beginning of spring, the 2011 growing season started quite early, with bud-break in mid-April. Warm summer rains caused concern over rot, but beautiful weather arrived in September, bringing good ripeness and a relatively stress-free harvest. The vintage produced complex wines with full fruit flavors balanced by elegant acidity. Learn More
